Storytime for 3-4 year olds Preregister in the children's area beginning June 4th. Children may attend either Wednesday at 10:30 AM or Thursday at 1:30 PM. Each week we will read books, sing sings, and do a simple craft.  6/20-6/21: "Wings at Night" Tales of bats and owls. 6/27-6/28: "What gives us light at night?" 7/3: Animal Tales program (no sign-ups required) 7/5: Movie Day 7/11-7/12: "Pajama Storytime" Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed toy! Summer Reading for children ages 5-12 June 19 2:00-3:00 The Groove Club: Come enjoy a concert where you sing and dance along with the performers!  June 26 2:00-3:00 Star Lab Planetarium: Held at the Nelson County Civic Center. Observe the beauty and science of the night sky in an inflatable planetarium. Sessions will be limited, tickets must be picked up in the children's area beginning June 19th. July 3 2:00-3:00 Animal Tales Do you ever wonder what's awake when you are dreaming? Come meet and learn about nocturnal animals from all over the world. (All ages welcome, children 4 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)  July 10 2:00-3:00 Movie Day Come watch an animated, G-rated movie about a city of monsters. Rules for the 2012 Summer Reading Program: 1. Students can pick up their reading log at the library beginning June 4th. 2. Keep track of the books you read over the summer. 3. Bring your reading log between July 2nd and August 15th into the library to pick up coupons and prizes for reading! 4. Attending programs is optional. |
